Our company is at the beginning of its sustainability journey. As a contract manufacturer in the cosmetics industry, we are committed to gradually reducing our environmental footprint and strengthening our social responsibility. With limited resources, we focus on realistic and meaningful first steps, particularly in the areas of energy use and responsible sourcing.
As a contract manufacturer for hair care cosmetics, we are deeply aware of our responsibility to reduce environmental impact throughout the entire value chain. By joining the ‘Commit for Our Planet’ initiative, we want to actively contribute to shaping a more sustainable future for the beauty industry — not only through responsible sourcing and production, but by supporting our partners in meeting their climate goals.

Climate

Commitment: Reduce greenhouse gas emissions

We have already systematically analysed energy consumption in both production and administration in order to specifically identify potential savings. Building on this, we are committed to continuously reducing our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions to sustainably minimize our environmental impact. At the same time, awareness-raising measures aimed at promoting energy-saving behaviour among our employees are currently being implemented.

One example of our concrete energy-saving initiatives is the replacement of all lighting fixtures across the entire facility with energy-efficient LED technology, which is planned to be completed by 2030.

In addition, we are currently collaborating with external experts to develop a system for recovering excess process heat. This recovered energy is intended to be reused within our production processes and for heating purposes, thereby reducing energy losses and increasing overall efficiency. The switch to certified green electricity is also planned, depending on feasibility and the timing of contract renewals. Additionally, we are evaluating the introduction of a more energy-efficient heating and ventilation system at our site to further minimize our ecological footprint.

Nature

Commitment: Act for nature within operations

We aim to provide our customers with transparent information about the environmental aspects of our production process to support them in their downstream assessments. We act for nature within our operations by responsibly managing resources such as water and energy, reducing waste and emissions, and implementing environmentally friendly technologies. Where it aligns with our customers’ expectations and does not compromise the effectiveness of the ingredients used, we prioritize natural and biodegradable raw materials whenever possible.

Commitment: Act for nature through sustainable ingredient sourcing

We are starting by mapping the origin and sustainability aspects of the raw materials used in our formulations. This internal analysis is a first step toward identifying potential environmental and ethical risks in our supply chain. In doing so, we aim to act for nature through sustainable ingredient sourcing and to ensure that our procurement practices contribute to environmental protection. Particular attention was given to the most frequently used raw materials: Our top 10 raw materials in 2024 were predominantly sourced from countries within the European Union, indicating a relatively stable and regulated supply chain within Europe.
