At Cosmosol, sustainability is not a standalone initiative — it’s a mindset that shapes how we operate and innovate. Through our CARE 2030 roadmap, we are taking concrete steps to reduce our environmental footprint and foster circular practices. By integrating climate action, nature protection, sustainable packaging, and resource efficiency into our core strategy, we aim to create lasting value for people and the planet.

Cosmosol launched its first structured sustainability program, CARE, in 2020, with the conviction that sustainability should be embedded in every business decision and process. This early commitment laid the foundation for CARE 2030, our current roadmap focused on measurable impact across climate, packaging, nature, circularity, as well as key social and governance priorities. As a manufacturing partner to many leading brands, we are committed to driving progress not only within our own operations, but across the entire value chain. Joining the ‘Commit for Our Planet’ initiative is a natural continuation of this journey—one that reflects our belief in shared ambition and collective industry transformation.

Climate

Commitment: Reduce greenhouse gas emissions

At Cosmosol, we see climate action as an essential part of how we innovate and grow responsibly. Through our CARE 2030 roadmap, we are rethinking how we design, produce, and move our products to lower emissions across our operations and value chain.

We are committed to reducing absolute greenhouse gas emissions from Scope 1 and 2 by 42% by 2030 (vs. 2020) in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and to improving how we measure and mitigate Scope 3 emissions.
Our efforts focus on reducing our carbon footprint from raw materials, logistics, production, and end-of-life, in full alignment with international sustainability standards.

Packaging

Commitment: Increase recycled content

At Cosmosol, we believe that packaging should protect the product without harming the planet. That’s why we are working closely with our supply chain to increase the use of recycled materials in all packaging components.

By embracing circular design principles, we aim to reduce our reliance on virgin resources and contribute to a more responsible packaging ecosystem.

Commitment: Sustainably source wood-based packaging

We are committed to sourcing paper and board packaging exclusively from responsibly managed forests.

By partnering with certified suppliers, we ensure that our packaging choices support forest conservation and align with internationally recognized standards like FSC.

Nature

Commitment: Act for nature through sustainable ingredient sourcing

Nature-conscious formulation begins with responsible ingredient sourcing. At Cosmosol, we collaborate with suppliers who prioritize circular economy models, bio-based inputs, and environmentally responsible practices.

Through our CARE 2030 program, we are committed to gradually replacing traditional raw materials with more natural, renewable, and biodegradable alternatives, focusing on those with a lower environmental impact.

This transition is driven by our internal R&D and supplier engagement, with the goal of strengthening transparency, traceability, and alignment with evolving sustainability expectations across the industry.

We also promote the sourcing of raw materials from certified sustainable origins and support deforestation-free supply chains. Where applicable, we work with suppliers to adopt recognized certification schemes such as RSPO for palm-derived ingredients.

Commitment: Act for nature within operations

Our operations are designed to reduce environmental impact by improving how we manage natural resources.

We are working to optimize water usage, reduce process-related consumption, and support long-term environmental balance through more efficient systems.

To minimize waste, we have restructured our raw material logistics—eliminating unnecessary packaging through bulk storage and enabling reverse logistics for container reuse.

These initiatives allow us to reduce inputs, prevent waste, and support the transition toward a more circular and nature-respecting production model.
