Climate
Commitment: Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
We aim to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1 and 2) by at least 85% by 2030 compared to a 2019 baseline. We already initiated the transition from fossil to renewable energies years ago, for example by continuously increasing our own power generation capacities through the installation of photovoltaic systems. Since 1 January 2020, all of our gas needs have been met by biomethane rather than fossil gas: the company from which we obtain our biogas converts organic and agricultural waste into energy.
We will determine step by step the as yet unknown scope 3 CO2 emissions. The process for determining the scope 3 indirect CO2 emissions is part of a project started in 2022.
